My Reflection

My Dream, My Future
Dreams have
been objects of boundless fascination and mystery for humankinds since the
beginning of time. These nocturnal vivid images seem to arise from some source
other than our ordinary conscious mind. They contain a mixture of elements from
our own personal identity which we recognize as familiar.
My dream is
to become a successful accountant. I want to attain my goals in order to change
the hardships and sacrifices of my parents. I want also to build my own
business in the future. Find the right girl for me that can love me for what I
am, and can accept of who I am. And give a better life for my family this time
and in the future.

Kannawidan Festival 2014
Locals revived traditional practices
that Ilocano elders passed on in the annual Kannawidan Ylocos festival form
January 29 to February 3. Now on its fourth year, the Kannawidan festival was
also an occasion to strengthen the Ilocano culture, recognize Ilocos Sur’s sons
and daughters who brought honor to their province, celebrate abundant harvest
or just celebrate the Ilocano spirit that continues to drive locals to boost
their home province.
Various festivities were staged from
trade, agriculture, aqua and livestock while a display of farm products opened
the six-day festival. To carve young talents in the field of arts, an array of talent
competitions gathered the youth from choral, marching bands, traditional street
dancing, traditional music ensemble, dance drama, traditional folk dancing,
painting, design making, and photo exhibits. Tradition was also found in the
culinary treats that residents prepared including delicacies that Ilocos sur is
known for. Sons and daughters were recognized for their talents in various
competitions and awards namely the Gov. Titong Singson Awards for young
achievers, best practices of schools awards, Father Jose Burgos Awards, the
award given to illustrious sons and daughters of Ilocos Sur and Siglat Awards
for all groups, barangays, towns, individuals in Ilocos Sur who served are role
models.
Change Starts With Me
Everyone
thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. You want
to make difference in this world, right? I’m no different from the rest of you
in this respect, in fact, I’m probably more likely to claim this statement.
Ever since I realized the mass potential of our lives, I’ve sub-consciously
carried a mission to change the world and leave it a better place than when I
found it.
This
desire to change the world all sounds very heroic and noble and grand. But is
it possible? Is it really possible to change the world, to make huge
differences so that people hail us and shower us with praise? Yes, I think it’s
possible to change the world. There’s a difference between changing the world,
and making a difference in the world, which is important to recognize because I
believe you can do one but you can’t do other.
But
what are you going to do in order to make the world better? For me, in order to
make the world better is to change our bad attitudes, we should clean our
environment daily, proper disposal of garbage, and also avoid burning of
plastics. And most of all, we should have proper discipline in our own selves
in order for a better country and for a better nation.
